Rapidly measuring large numbers of detached leaves can be done by inserting the CI-203 Portable Laser Area Meter into the CI-203CA Conveyor Attachment. The combined unit will accomplish the leaf measurements based on the CI-203's display and keypad operation. Samples are fed between two glass rollers for scanning, eliminating the need for high-maintenance plastic belts.
The CI-203CA is primarily a laboratory instrument. However, an auxiliary 6-volt battery, weighing less than 3kg and consuming low power, can be used for field operations.
