Our History

CID Bio-Science, Inc. is an industry leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of instruments for agricultural and environmental research. We pride ourselves on creating truly field ready, portable solutions for plant measurement and analysis. It is our highest mission to identify and service the needs of plant researchers, employing the most innovative, efficient and portable means possible. For 20 years, CID instruments have been used in the field, in laboratories worldwide and even in the International Space Station for plant physiology research. CID instruments are sold and supported by a global network of distributors.

For nearly 20 years, CID Bio-Science, Inc. instruments have been used in the field, in laboratories worldwide and even in the International Space Station for plant physiology research.

CID was founded in Moscow, Idaho and has been located in the great Pacific Northwest since. CID became established in the agricultural research world when it introduced its state-of-the-art photosynthesis system, the CI-301, currently known as the CI-340. The success and practicality of the instrument, along with the success of the CI-202 laser leaf area meter, prompted CID to expand its line to include the agronomy research, and manufacturing fields. During this expansion CID relocated its headquarters to Camas, Washington where the company resides today. With a team of dedicated, experienced and highly skilled scientists, CID has been able to meet or exceed all standards set by industry in the United States and abroad.

An integral part of CID's mission is to innovate by utilizing end user feedback, so for the past several years, we have attended various annual meetings and conferences within relevant specialty fields to make contact with people who use CID instruments. This gives us the chance to display and demonstrate our line of instruments, communicate with the end user, and collect feedback on how our products can best serve those that use them. CID continues to attend several conferences each year with the hopes of meeting our customers, sharing our products and collecting your feedback.
