This README.TXT file should accompany a copy of the CTwain
C++ class and sample application. CTwain is a basic C++
class designed to be used with Microsoft Visual C++ and the
Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC), under Windows 3.1 and
Win32 platforms. CTwain provides a simplified interface
to TWAIN services, which allow an application to select,
establish communication with, and acquire images from TWAIN
compliant image capture devices.

There are basic directions for adding CTwain to an
MFC/AppWizard application at the front of the file CTWAIN.H.
There is also a sample application which uses CTwain.

CTwain 1.1

This version of the CTwain class for MSVC/MFC has not changed
significantly from previous releases. There are some improvements
and bug fixes based on user feedback and information gleaned
from the traffic on the twain@caere.com mailing list.

A sample app has been added, named 'Dib'.

As always, CTwain is free, you may use it as you see fit, and
neither Logitech nor the TWAIN Working Group accept any
compensation, make any claim or warranty of any kind, or
assume any responsibility whatsoever for the results.
